On May 12, Inspur Group held press conferences simultaneously
in Beijing, Shandong and Guangdong announcing that Inspur
server broke and set the world record of commercial intelligent
computation. The old world record had been kept by IBM in
the last eight months. Inspur's Exceeding many international
manufacturers and becoming the champion in the world makes
it the first in China in setting the world record which
marks that the competition between the server industry in
China and the international manufacturers enters a new historical
development stage. What is notable is that a new international
standard for the global commercial intelligent computation
has been made.
The Transaction Processing Performance Council
(TPC) of America is one of the world's most authoritative
performance evaluation organizations in high-side computer
products, which is called the "international club in
the competition of high-side computer products". At
present, almost all the famous manufacturers in IT industry
(such as IBM, HP and SUN, etc.) are members of TPC. Being
one of the important evaluation standard of TPC, the commercial
intelligent computation performance (TPC-H) is used to simulate
the commercial application circumstances. Unlike scientific
computation standard, the commercial intelligent computation
index embodies efficiently the performance of the application
in actual commercial computation. Such commercial index
can widely measure the comprehensive ability of commercial
computation of the whole system which requires high-level
manufacturers and has widely commercial practical values.
At present, it can be widely used in banking credit analysis
and credit card analysis, telecommunications operation analysis,
tax revenue analysis and policy-making analysis of tobacco
industry.
It is gratifying that, as the leader of server industry
in China and with its technologies based upon rich accumulations
and significant breakthrough, Inspur becomes a powerful
manufacturer in the field of commercial computation together
with other international magnates. From now on, the situation
of price competition and mid- and low-side market competition
in China's server industry shall be broken and there is
manufacturer of China present at the international "high-side
competition field" of high-side commercial computation.
