24, the signing ceremony of cooperation memo between Inspur
Group and Furukawa Electric was held at Shandong Building
in Jinan. Wang Junmin, the vice governor of Shandong province
attended the ceremony and interviewed with Japanese guests
led by PresidentMasuda ItihikokuMasuda ItihikokuMasuda ItihikokuMasuda
Itihikoku,. Leaders from Foreign Trade Department and Information
Industry Office of Shandong Province, attended the ceremony.
Established in 1884, Furukawa Electric is famous
in the world for its products of electric cable, optical
fiber, and information equipment, and having more than 20,000
technicians and production workers and about 20 joint adventures
and sole-invested enterprises in China. Furukawa Electric
takes a share of 40% of the optical fiber market in China.
It is rich in the experience of cooperation with enterprises
of China.
The data of 2002, provided by CCID, the authoritative
institution of China, shows that at present, the software
export business of China is increasing gradually year after
year and Japan is the biggest software export country of
China, and 80% of oversea software orders are from Japan.
Japan is also one of the biggest countries in demand of
software industry and software service, ranks only after
America. 80 billions dollars of software shall be purchased
from abroad every year, and 30% of which is from China.
Large enterprises like Furukawa Electric spend at least
10 billion YEN on informatization and software outsourcing
every year, there is no doubt that it would be a huge market
resource as to Chinese enterprises engaged in software export.
Inspur Group is one of the biggest IT industry
group in China, and server, software and communication are
its three main directions of the development of industry.
Recently, Inspur Group established Inspur Shike International
Corporation engaged in overseas business. Taking software
export as another important development industry after the
planning of its internationalization strategy shall become
an important strategic procedure of Inspur in the implementation
of internationalization strategy.
The Memo of Cooperation Facing the Market of
China and the Memo of Cooperation on the Promotion of Informatization
Business signed by Inspur Group Co., Ltd. and Furukawa
Electric mainly relate to export business of software outsourcing
service facing the market of Japan. It is stipulated in
the cooperation agreement that Inspur shall share 2.5-3
billion YEN of software outsourcing business of Furukawa
Electric every year. The signing of the memo means that
the software export industry of Inspur will realize a
significant development, which will smooth the way for the
internationalization strategy of Inspur.
The signing of the agreement between Inspur
Group and Furukawa Electricmade response to the call of
provincial Party committee and provincial government of
attracting foreign investment and broadened the provincial
profit-gaining points; and on the other hand, along with
the significant development of software export industry
of out province, the whole development of the information
industry of our province shall be promoted. In addition,
in April of this year, led by Inspur Group, the core software
enterprises of Shandong province set up the "Qilu Software
Export Alliance", and Inspur will take this as an
opportunity, through combining and enhancing the entire
strength of software export of enterprises of Shandong,
to assist Shandong Province to achieve the goal of being
one of the biggest software exportbases of China. |
