Good
news come one after another in new year. After the establishment
of Inspur LG Digital Mobile Communication Co. , Ltd. on
February 2, Inspur started the corporation with ERICSSON.
In afternoon of February 4, 2002, Inspur Group, ERICSSON
(China) Co. Ltd. and Shandong Mobile Communication Co.,
Ltd. signed a memo of a joint venture. Wu Guanzheng, secretary
of Shandong provincial Party committee, and Han Yuqun, standing
deputy governor of Shandong Province, interviewed with the
president of ERICSSON (China) Co., Ltd., Mr. Jan Malm and
attened the signing ceremony. Leaders from relevant departments
of the province and the client representatives also took
part in the ceremony.
The first investment of the joint venture of
Inspur Group and ERICSSON (hereinafter referred to as
"ERICSSON Inspur") is expected to be up to 5
million dollars, and its business is directly subordinate
to the global headquarters of ERICSSON. The main business
of the joint venture is the development and promotion of
the technologies and products in wireless communication,
which covers bluetooth, GPRS, mobile communication network,
3G and other fields of wireless communications.
During the signing ceremony, Mr. Sun Pishu,
president of Inspur Group, said that in the industry development
strategy of Inspur, we definitely put forward our industry
development strategy that taking Internet terminal equipment
as the core, server as the chief business, terminal equipment
of Internet as the main body, software and communication
products as two wings and technology innovation as the power,
to achieve a high speed and sustainable development. In
2001, after the adjustment of the industrial structure of
thegroup, Inspur is transforming itself from a manufacturer
of hardware equipment to a solution provider whose main
business is to develop embedded software and application
software. In the development strategy of the group, we stressed
the cooperation with foreign large enterprises, which is
called by us as dancing on the same stage with world stars.
And the technology cooperation between Inspur and ERICSSON
is just an important part of our development strategy. It
will surely be a positive promotion in the transforming
towards solution provider, especially in the aspect of improving
the capability of core technology; and for the development
of embedded software of Inspur's related industry as well;
moreover, we could use advanced management experiences for
reference during the cooperation.
Mr. Jan Malm, president of ERICSSON (China)
Co., Ltd., said that China is getting more and more attractive
for its high speed and stable development of its economy.
And China is the biggest market of ERICSSON in the world,
and ERICSSON takes a share of 12% of mobile and 40% of mobile
phone exchange of the market of China. and . At the eve
of China's entrance into WTO, in the global strategy summit
of ERICSSON, Mr. Kurt Hellstrom, president of ERICSSON announced
that ERICSSON was going to invest 5 billion dollars in China
in the next five years. ERICSSON Inspur is the first group
of joint projects approved after the announcement of the
investment plan, and its business is directly subordinate
to the global headquarters of ERICSSON, that shows ERICSSON
have paid much attention on the joint project with Inspur.
As Shandong is one of the advanced provinces in the economy
development of China, and Inspur Group is one of the key
enterprises of development of information industry of China,
